RUNAWAYS is a Roblox open-world crime escape game (currently in beta). Players are criminals trying to flee the country. The core loop involves robbing locations, pawning loot for cash (Credz), cracking vaults, managing vehicles and fuel, dealing with rising police heat, and progressing through state checkpoints (Kansas → Oklahoma → Texas) to reach the Mexico border. Classes provide permanent starting loadouts and passive bonuses that significantly affect mobility, combat, storage, and survival.
A tier list in this game ranks the available Classes by overall power, utility, and effectiveness for solo farming, high-value heists, police chases, crew play, and successful border escapes.
Overall Tier List
| Tier | Characters |
|---|---|
| S+ | Bounty Hunter, Breacher, Smuggler |
| S | Juggernaut, Gang Member, Medic |
| A | Contractor, Old CEO, Scout |
| B | Brawler |
| C | Basic / Starter |
| D | (None currently dominant enough to list) |
S+ Tier
These are the most powerful, meta-defining classes in the current beta. They offer the best combination of mobility, combat readiness, utility, and value for consistent successful runs.
| Character | Description / Power-Ups / Information |
|---|---|
| Bounty Hunter | +20% Running Speed, +10% Melee Strength. Starts with Machete, Pistol, and Light Bullet Pack. Excellent all-rounder that combines strong mobility with immediate melee + ranged options. Ideal for looting, fighting, and escaping. |
| Breacher | +40% Melee Strength. Starts with Medium Backpack, Shotgun, C4, and Shotgun ammo. Outstanding vault and high-value robbery class. C4 + storage + close-range firepower make it one of the strongest end-game purchases. |
| Smuggler | +20% Running Speed, –10% Melee Strength. Starts with Small Backpack and Crowbar. Best value class by far (very cheap). Superior mobility and early storage make it excellent for farming, solo runs, and reliable escapes. |
S Tier
Extremely strong classes that excel in specific high-impact roles and remain highly competitive across most playstyles.
| Character | Description / Power-Ups / Information |
|---|---|
| Juggernaut | +100% Health, –20% Running Speed. Starts with Light Armor, Minigun, Medium Backpack, and ammo. Ultimate tank class. Extremely hard to kill but suffers in pure escape situations due to the large speed penalty. Best in coordinated crews or contested areas. |
| Gang Member | Solid speed and storage bonuses with a ranged weapon and ammo in the loadout. Strong balanced option that works well for both beginners and experienced players. |
| Medic | Health-focused support class with extra healing items. Excellent for team play as the designated healer and still viable solo thanks to improved survivability. |
A Tier
Reliable and useful classes that perform well but have clearer weaknesses or less overall impact than the top tiers.
| Character | Description / Power-Ups / Information |
|---|---|
| Contractor | Balanced utility class with decent loadout options. Serviceable for general runs but outclassed by higher mobility or specialized kits. |
| Old CEO | Situational class with unique starting advantages. Useful in certain playstyles but less consistent than S-tier options. |
| Scout | Mobility-oriented with speed bonuses at the cost of health and melee power. Good for pure escape and flanking but fragile in direct fights. |
B Tier
Playable but generally outclassed. These classes can work in the early game or niche situations.
| Character | Description / Power-Ups / Information |
|---|---|
| Brawler | Melee-focused with a small strength bonus but a running speed penalty. Struggles in a game that heavily rewards mobility and disengaging from police. |
C Tier
Lowest priority. These offer minimal advantages and should be replaced as soon as better classes become affordable.
| Character | Description / Power-Ups / Information |
|---|---|
| Basic / Starter | Default class with no special loadout or meaningful passives. Fine only for the very first runs while saving Credz. |
